Church of the Immaculate Conception of the BVM Serampore

We the faithful of the Immaculate Conception of B.V.M Church Serampore celebrated Fourth Anniversary of BEC/ SCC Day on 15th October 2023. As it has three units St. Anthony Unit, St. Mother’s Teresa Unit and St. Alphonso Unit gathered at different places for Bible procession and came in two lines with different directions with Bible, Poster with Prayer/ Hymns and banner to the church compound followed by prayers and rosary. John Kumar was in the form of Jesus and Antonis Kerketta as a good shepherd welcomed all the three units with great devotion. The Aarti was done to the Bible. During entrance Hymn Bible was taken into the church with procession to the altar. Before Bible enthronement, Ruksana Toppo gave a small introduction about Bible enthronement. Then the Bible enthronement was done by Rev. Fr. Teleswar Nayak. He was the main celebrant of the day and co-celebrated by Fr. SujaySardar S.S.C.C & Parish priest Fr. Arul Thyagarajan. After the holy mass, small cultural programme was held with Bible quiz, Action Son, Dance and Drama, Chart Exhibition with main theme ‘Action plans’, achievements, Meeting summary and bible verses, 2023. Report was read by Alma Dung Dung. Lastly, there was lunch with all parishioners and people of Cheshire Home.
